East Providence Street named for Pokanoket Chief Harry “Hawk” Edmonds

With East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva on his right and his granddaughter and wife, Carole, on his left, Harry “Hawk” Edmonds proudly holds up one of the new signs naming Leonard Avenue in East Providence “Harry ‘Hawk’ Edmonds Way” that will be installed down the Avenue. Mayor Bob DaSilva introduces East Providence Advisory Council on Indigenous Affairs Chair Carole Washington Brown after Former Mayor Dr. Isadore Ramos, Sagamore Bill “Winds of Thunder” Brown, and Tracey “Dancing Star” Brown share the microphone to praise Edmonds for his many contributions to the City.
