
(Above) Members of the Mayor’s Advisory Council on Indigenous Affairs Carole Brown and Michelle Johnston, along with East Providence, RI Mayor Bob DaSilva, welcomed more than a hundred Native Americans to Crescent Park for an annual pow wow celebrating Indigenous history and life today. The free public cultural gathering featured Native American dancing in regalia, guest drumming by the Red Hawk Singers, traditional storytelling and drumming circles, and Native vendors and crafts.
