The Sowams Heritage Area Project signed an Organizational Partner agreement with Plymouth 400, the organization planning the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower voyage and the founding of Plymouth Colony. This is a reciprocal marketing agreement that allows each to promote each others’ activities. Becoming an organizational partner will enable the Sowams Heritage Area Project to promote its events throughout the Plymouth 400 signature events program, including at the Official Maritime Salute on June 27-28, 2020, and listed on the Plymouth 400 2020 calendar. A sanctioned event and/or program must meet at least two primary goals (Tourism and Economic Development, National/International Recognition, Educational, Cultural and Civic Engagement or Commemoration Legacies):and two themes (Exploration, Innovation, Self-governance, Religious expression, Immigration, or Thanksgiving).
