Sowams Heritage Area Coordinator Dave Weed has taken a display to some of the farmers’ markets in the area to market the project to the public. He has appeared at the Weaver Library market in East Providence, the Mount Hope Farm market in Bristol, and at the Schoolyard Market at Hope and Main in Warren. “The reception has been very positive,” he commented, “and people have a lot of interest in 17th century history in the area.” The Marketing campaign is designed to increase public awareness of the project and support for the eventual establishment of a National Heritage Area.
