The Sowams Heritage Area Project was featured at the 65th Annual Christ Church Harvest Festival in Swansea Village on September 8, 2018, the day before the official launch of the project at the East Providence Historical Society headquarters at Hunt’s Mill Museum. Project Coordinator David Weed was invited by Church member and George Hail (Warren) Library Director Pat Redfearn (pictured to the left) to submit a feature article about the Sowam Project that was published in the program booklet. Dave spent the morning at the Festival informing residents about the project and getting their ideas about what should be included. Pat has been very helpful in tracking down texts and pointing out other information that has been included on the website. Click here for a copy of the article.
