East Providence Conservation Commissioner Ernie Germani and Deputy EMA Director Wayne Barnes led a group of about fifteen walkers to the three coastal inlets on the Providence River from Squantum Point to Watchemoket Cove. The route offers spectucular views of plant and wildlife along the river along the East Bay Bike Path. While Boyden Heights saw the construction of multiple amusement parks in the late 19th century, the coves below it have remained essentially unchanged from the 17th century.
